Electric Oils

“Field” by Donna Lindboe Trupin.

Door County resident Donna Lindboe Trupin will exhibit her “electric” oil paintings Third Avenue Playhouse’s Gallery, 239 N. 3rd Avenue Sturgeon Bay, July 29 through August 25.

Trupin, a non-traditional painter, demonstrates the impact of exuberant color and fanciful expression to create a moment of joy for the viewer. Awestruck by Door County’s beauty, she is equally influenced by the landscapes and cultures of France, Spain, Italy, and Mexico where she has traveled.

“Color is a magnet, always creating a statement. One should not be afraid of color, rather embrace it. Enjoy its power and leave refreshed,” she said.

Trupin was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and attended classes at the Art Institute. Her artwork has won awards locally and nationally. She is a member of the Frances Hardy Gallery and Door County Art League. Trupin is represented by Fine Line Designs Gallery in Ephraim. Her work can also be seen at the 2014 Collection Invitational Exhibit at the Hardy Gallery until August 24.

The TAP Lobby Gallery is open to the public during regular box office hours, noon until showtime from Tuesday to Friday, and during performances. The box office is closed on Mondays. For more information call 920.743.1760 or visit ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com.
