Ellison Bay Service Club of Door County Announces Christmas Party and Meetings

Start the Holidays right by joining friends and neighbors for a Christmas Party sponsored by the Ellison Bay Service Club, Monday December 1 at 6 pm at T. Ashwell’s on Mink River Road in Ellison Bay. The celebration will reflect on past year’s accomplishments, such as adding greenery to the Ellison Bay village, planting a tree in memory of John Mahoney, and hosting Olde Ellison Bay Days for the first time. The celebration will also be an opportunity for interested parties to learn more of the club’s goals and plans for next year, such as launching a new Web site to support and promote Northern Door and undertaking more gardening projects.

The buffet style dinner will include meatballs, crab or seafood cakes, crostini, pork or chicken kabobs, smoked mushroom caps with cherries, mascarpone cheese, chives, and proscutto salad. Dessert will include truffles or strawberries dipped in chocolate.

The Ellison Bay Service Club holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month. November and December meetings will be held at 7 pm at the Liberty Grove Town Hall; and January and February meetings will be at the Mink River Basin (times TBA). Spring and summer meetings are held at the Viking Annex.

Don’t forget about the Ellison Bay Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony planned for December 7.
