Ellison Bay Service Club Raises 47 Flags for Memorial Day

On May 23, Ellison Bay Service Club members raised 47 American flags along Highway 42 to honor America’s veterans on Memorial Day. Why 47 flags? Because 2013 marks the 47th year of the annual Olde Ellison Bay Days celebration. Another new flag will be added every year until the festival reaches its 50th “golden” anniversary in 2016.

The Ellison Bay Service Club, which coordinates Olde Ellison Bay Days, welcomes participation by seasonal and year-round residents.
