9-10am. Think You Know Peninsula? Join the park naturalist for a trip back in time. Discover Peninsula place names and nearly forgotten stories about past residents. Designed for adults. Meet at the Nicolet Beach Shelter. Held in the Nature Center if raining. Free. Park vehicle sticker required.
11am-12pm. The True Story of Smokey Bear. Discover how America’s fire-fighting bear got his start, then shake paws with the friendly fur-ball himself. Special prizes for kids who can recite his fire-fighting message. Free. Park vehicle sticker required.
