Expert Appraises Antiques

The Heritage Village at Big Creek will host “What’s It Worth?” on June 26, 4 – 7 pm. Special guest author and antiques expert Mark Moran will appraise objects in the categories of fine art, furniture, ceramics, glassware, vintage photographs, advertising, folk art, toys, metal-ware, clocks, and costume jewelry.

Former editor of Antiques and Collectibles Books and contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine, Moran has also published more than 25 books on the subject of antiques, including the annual Warman’s Antiques & Collectibles. Specializing in Americana, vintage folk and fine art, Moran has been an appraiser for more than 20 years.

Participation in this event is limited and pre-registration is required. A submission form and complete list of items that may not be submitted for appraisal are available at DoorCountyHIstoricalSociety.org under the “Newsletter” section. Each item appraised is $15. Guests may attend for an admission fee of $4. Time slots are available at 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm. A check payable to the Door County Historical Society must accompany all registrations.

“What’s It Worth?” will be presented in the Collins Learning Center at the Crossroads at Big Creek at 2041 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, at the intersection of Highway 42/57 and County Highway TT. For additional information contact Dan Olson at 920.421.2332.
