Facilities, Infrastructure Upgrades at Peninsula State Park

Visitors to Peninsula State Park this year will be in for a treat, courtesy of a major transformation that the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has carried out during the past year. 

Facilities and infrastructure upgrades include a new shower/restroom facility at the South Nicolet campground, restroom upgrades at the South Nicolet and Weborg Point campgrounds, 11 new vault-toilet restrooms, a new sanitary station, a new restroom facility at Northern Sky Theater, a Nature Center addition, resurfacing 400 campsites, campsite upgrades with new grills and fire rings, upgrading 23 campsites to electrical service, and new drinking fountains.

Some favorite amenities are also set to open with safety protocols in place. This includes the Peninsula State Park Golf Course and clubhouse, which opened May 1; Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, which will open for tours May 15; the Nicolet Beach Camp Store, set to open May 28; and Northern Sky Theater, which will open June 14.
