First Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in the County

The Wellness Center of Door County is proud to announce the addition of the county’s first Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to their staff. Beginning September 3, 2008 Sandy Schumacher MSN, WHNP-BC will join Nurse Practitioner, Michele Geiger-Bronsky MSN, FNP-BC in seeing patients at their Sturgeon Bay office.

Schumacher will bring additional clinical expertise to the reproductive health services provided at the Wellness Center. Schumacher’s background as a board certified nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner has allowed her to provide services to women across the lifespan including but not limited to adolescence, adulthood, pregnancy and the transitional changes women face during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. In addition to joining the Wellness Center staff Schumacher is working on her Ph.D. in Nursing through UW-Milwaukee.
