Food Share Accepted at Sturgeon Bay and Jacksonport Farmers Markets

Anyone attending the Sturgeon Bay and Jacksonport farmers markets who has an EBT card for QUEST/Food Share/SNAP can swipe their card at the market for up to $50 per week.

SNAP can be used for fruits and vegetables; herbs and mushrooms; breads, grains and pasta that will be consumed at home; food-producing plants and seeds; dairy products; eggs; fish, poultry and meats; sauces and soups; and syrups and honey.

To use an EBT card at the market, visit the United Way table located in front of Destination Sturgeon Bay on 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay or under the pavilion in Jacksonport. United Way will give participants tokens (each is equal to $1) to use at vendor booths, just as they would use cash.

This year, thanks to Door County Medical Center, participants will receive an additional $1 token for every $2 they spend.
