Four Eagles on All-Conference First Team

Four players on Southern Door’s baseball team, this season’s Packerland Conference runner-up, along with two from Gibraltar/Washington Island and one from Sturgeon Bay, have been named to the All-Conference first team.

Eagles sophomore pitcher Tyler Neinas, senior infielder Jack Peterson, senior outfielder Jaden Diller and senior utility player Christian Counard all made the first team.

Vikings sophomore catcher Brady Kita and senior outfielder Rylan Caldecott are also first-team selections, as is Clippers sophomore infielder Bryce Plzak.

The three Gibraltar/Washington Island baseball players named to the second team include two pitchers – senior Noah Greene and sophomore Bennett Isaacson – and senior infielder Aidan Purinton.

Baseball players from Door County schools receiving honorable mention include two from Southern Door – junior infielder Will Jandrin and senior outfielder Alec Guilette – two from Gibraltar/Washington Island – senior outfielder Will Friedenfels and freshman utility player Aaron Brey – and two from Sturgeon Bay – junior pitcher Brody Kollath and junior infielder Danny Lodl.

This year’s Packerland Player of the Year from the conference champion Kewaunee Storm is senior pitcher Cal Ihlenfeldt.
