Fred Johnson Named the 2012 Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Volunteer of the Year

The Sister Bay Advancement Association awarded the 2012 Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Volunteer of the Year award to Fred Johnson of Sister Bay. Johnson was nominated for his volunteerism with the Sister Bay Centennial celebration in June, as well as for the planning and execution of centennial events throughout 2012.

Johnson is the president of the Sister Bay Historical Society and helps organize the weekly farm market and heritage programs at the Corner of the Past. Johnson was also the Parade Marshall in the 67th annual Fall Fest parade.

As a token of gratitude, Johnson received a framed print by artist Tom Seagard – one of the series of historical paintings Seagard created for the Sister Bay Centennial.
