Free Film Screening at Nelson Healing Center

For the Next 7 Generations, a documentary film that chronicles the momentous journey of a group of women who have become known as the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, will be shown on Friday, January 22 at 7 pm at the Nelson Healing Center in Sturgeon Bay. There is no charge to attend.

In the film, For the Next 7 Generations, viewers accompany the Grandmothers as they travel around the globe to promote world peace and share their indigenous ways of healing. Facing a world in crisis, these women are sharing their visions of healing and a call for worldwide change now, before it’s too late.

Produced and directed by Peabody and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Carole Hart, For the Next 7 Generations allows viewers to witness and experience the living earth-based traditions and ceremonies that animate the Grandmother’s sacred wisdom.

“Through their teachings, they are lighting a way to a peaceful, sustainable planet,” says Dr. Melissa Nelson who will also share her own personal experiences, including when she first traveled to India to meet with the Grandmothers and the Dalai Lama.

Dr. Nelson invites everyone to see the film as an introduction to gather in the four-week Sacred Talking Circles Series starting on February 5.
