UW-Madison Extension’s Health and Wellbeing and FoodWise program is hosting Strong Bodies: free, online classes held April 12 – June 10. Classes in this evidence-based strength-training program will be offered weekly on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, 9 am. No experience is necessary.
Strength training has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and arthritis, and it increases strength, muscle mass and bone density. There will also be some time to socialize virtually.
