Frykman Studio Presents Photography Show

The Frykman Studio Gallery of Sister Bay will hold a photography show and reception Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5, from 10 am to 7 pm. The reception will feature Door County photographers Lucas and Heather Frykman, Canadian potter/sculptor Steve Jorgenson, and woodcarver/painter David Frykman.

The show, titled “Seasons of Washington and Rock Islands,” is the result of an assignment for the Washington Island Chamber of Commerce, which turned into a creative excursion. Over the past year, the husband and wife team took four trips to Washington and Rock Islands and photographed in each season. The photographs highlight not only the beautiful shorelines but also the quiet harbors at sunset and the spacious fields in between.

The show will continue at the gallery through the fall. All four artists will be available to visit and talk about their new work during the reception. Live music will be performed by Jess Holland on Sunday from 4 – 7 pm. There will be refreshments and a drawing. Prizes include a ferry ticket to Washington Island with a two-night stay at Gibson’s West Harbor Resort and a Washington Island photograph.
