GEO-DC to Host Programming Workshop

The Greater Escarpment Organization of Door County (GEO-DC) is heading into 2019 with a workshop to identify programming and educational opportunities for the approaching season.

The organization plans to introduce educational programs such as hikes, lectures and kayak tours that will complement future interpretive and educational exhibits and displays. The programming workshop is scheduled for Feb. 16. The Escarpment Discovery Center, at 11876 Hwy 42, Ellison Bay, will not be open for this midwinter get-together.

Contact Board President Nancy Goss at 920.421.0111, [email protected] or [email protected] for details regarding the workshop time and place.

Formed in 2014, GEO-DC is a 501c3 organization whose members are passionate about educating Door County residents and visitors about the geological, environmental, cultural and historical impacts attributable to the Niagara Escarpment. GEO-DC members believe that these irreplaceable lands need to be complemented by a strong educational component to unlock the mysteries of this globally unique environment and to help ensure its preservation for generations to come.
