Gibraltar Ladies on Life Class Hosts Wellness Day

Trish Lindenberg’s Ladies on Life class at Gibraltar High School to host 2nd Annual  Women’s Wellness Day for Grade 8 Girls on May 20 at Gibraltar School and the YMCA.

High School ladies in the Ladies of Life class take the leadership role in developing and implementing this event for the girls in grade 8. The workshop for this day were developed by Mrs. Lindenberg’s high school “Ladies on Life” class and will focus on fostering personal wellness and inspiring young women to make healthy decisions about their own lives.  

This year’s theme will be “Preparing for High School Life and Beyond”.  The event will kick off with Katie Sawyer, Miss Door County addressing personal growth, leadership and decision-making. The workshops include the following topics:  Expectations and Teamwork of the 3 A’s:  Academics, Athletics & Activities;  Social circles and healthy peer relationships; and Self Image – body image & how you present yourself. 

Tonya Felhofer, will address the group on abusive relationships.   The day will conclude with a fitness session including a Pilates, Ball, and Zumba – Latin dance workout.
