Gibraltar Participates in State Invitational Basketball Championship

The Gibraltar 8th grade girl’s basketball team participated in the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament in Stevens Point and Wausau on April 6-7. This tournament brought together 82 of the top community-based 8th grade girl’s basketball teams from all across Wisconsin. State champions were crowned in four divisions, based on the enrollment of the high school into which each team feeds.

Gibraltar played in Division 4/5 and finished in 18th place. In Round Robin play, Gibraltar won, 29 – 20, against Prentice and 35 – 29 against Cambridge. Gibraltar lost, 17 – 34, to Westby.
