Girls of Small Forest Perform for Girlfriends Great EGGscape

The Girls of Small Forest are performing at Lost Moth Gallery in Egg Harbor on May 20 as part of Girlfriends Great EGGscape. The concert is also open to anyone looking for some evening music in a sweet little gallery atmosphere with after dinner coffee and dessert provided.

Jeanne Kuhns and Marybeth Mattson, a mother/daughter songwriting team based out of Door County, are known for their poetic lyrics, upbeat tempos and exquisite harmonies. Their voices create a soul vibe that is healing and joyful with guitars and the beat of the djembe.

Writing from the points of view of two generations, addressing social issues, relationship stuff and the magic of nature as two women who have grown up in very different times, and yet have shared much of their lives together, they are vibrant and energizing.

“Small Forest is dedicated to creating their own sound with voices raised, drums-a-beating, bass lines grooving, and timeless messages shared. Their passion for nature, community, storytelling and harmony inspire and delight audiences wherever they roam,” said Sue Demel of the band Sons of the Never Wrong.

The concert begins at 7 pm, with the doors open at 6 pm. Tickets are only $15 cash or check for this event. Lost Moth Gallery is at 7975 Hwy 42 at the north end of Egg Harbor. For reservations call 920.495.2928. For more information visit smallforestmusic.com.
