Girls Softball: Eagles Split With Bulldogs

Southern Door’s softball team met up Tuesday with Peshtigo at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where the two teams split a Packerland Conference doubleheader.

The Eagles defeated the Bulldogs in game one, 4-2.

Alanah Kaye led Southern Door at the plate with two hits. Cameron Finger led Peshtigo with two hits.

Kaye also recorded the pitching victory working three innings in relief with six strikeouts. Nevaeh Russel took the loss for the Bulldogs.

The Eagles lost the second game to Peshtigo, 7-5.

Sophia Counard led Southern Door at the plate with a pair of triples and 3 RBI. Bella Price and Alexis Tassoul added two hits apiece.

Samantha LeCoursiere led Peshtigo with two hits.

Kaye recorded the pitching loss for Southern Door. Elaina Weddell picked up the complete-game victory for Peshtigo with five strikeouts.

The Eagles are now 4-2 in the Packerland going into Saturday’s conference doubleheader at Sturgeon Bay.
