Good Turnout for Door County Sports & Classics Car Show

The Door County Sports & Classics Car Show in Egg Harbor on Aug. 18 drew a crowd of 3,000 and over 50 cars, including this 1960 Bentley Continental, owned by Dean Trafelet.

More than 50 cars and a crowd of 3,000 gathered on Aug. 18 for the Door County Sports & Classics Car Show in Egg Harbor. Event organizer Jeff Larson, President of the Egg Harbor Business Association, said, “It turned out better than imagined. Perfect weather combined with outstanding music, a beautiful venue and a great selection of sports and vintage cars.”

The car show was judged, and winners were awarded a trophy and bottle of Door County wine. The winners included: John Dohmen, Robert Bielefeldt, Dennis McIntosch, Ken Quade, Sheldon & Alice Hamilton, Dean & Louise Trafelet, Walter Cloud and Ned Fritz.

The People’s Choice Award went to Dave Schneider of Fish Creek for his 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
