Griffon Members Teach at Suzuki Strings Camp

In July, members of the Griffon String Quartet – Blakeley Menghini, viola; Vinicius Sant’Ana, violin; and Ryan Louie, cello – taught students at the annual Suzuki Strings chamber-music camp in Manhattan, Kansas. It educates youth ages 6-17 on violin, viola, cello and bass, and the demanding schedule includes sight-reading classes, lesson classes, outreach performances, chamber-music coaching, a conductor-less chamber orchestra and much more. Faculty concerts featured a collaboration with pianist Amanda Arrington.

Griffon String Quartet members have taught at the Suzuki camp for the past couple of years. An annual highlight is the outreach performance to an enthusiastic audience at Big Lakes Developmental Center.
