Observe Groundhog Day at The Ridges by attending Migrate, Hibernate or Adapt, Feb. 2 at 1 pm. Enjoy a light discussion of how animals make it through the winter. Wine and cheese will be on hand to celebrate an early spring or ease the prospect of six more weeks of winter. The program fee is $15 per person. Advance registration is required on or before Jan. 30.

Join a Ridges naturalist for an Owl Prowl on Feb. 4 at 6:30 pm to learn some of the more common calls and then take to the trails. Hikers should dress warmly, wear appropriate footwear and bring a flashlight. Program fees are $10 per adult for Ridges members, $13 per adult for the general public and $5 for children under 18. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
