Habitat for Humanity Selects Family Partner for New Build

Door County Habitat for Humanity has approved the partner family for their 40th home build, to be done this summer. Kendra Clarizio-Bilodeau will purchase the home from Habitat once it is built. Kendra and her two children, Matthew and Elizabeth, are excited to be getting their own home. Volunteers will spend this summer building the new home in Sturgeon Bay, working on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held May 9 at 2 pm at 741 N. 6th Ave., Sturgeon Bay. The family, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, and local officials will celebrate the start of the 40th home build.

Part of Habitat for Humanity International, the Door County affiliate works to give families a hand up through the home builds and through the “A Brush with Kindness” home repair program. To date they have helped 127 people, including 85 children, into new homes throughout Door County.
