Hal Prize photography judge Allen Morris is leading a Define Your Art workshop at Peninsula School of Art June 17-18, 9 am – 4 pm. He’ll teach students to examine their work – and their motivations for making it – to craft an answer and a set of professional documents that accurately define the work they make and who they are as artists. Register at peninsulaschoolofart.org.
Morris will also be giving a lunchtime talk June 17, 12:30 pm, that’s open to the public. During his presentation, he will talk about alternative photography methods, discuss the photo categories for this year’s Hal Prize and give advice to those who want to submit work.
A representative of the Hal Prize will also be at Peninsula School of Art during the program to talk to anyone who’s interested in learning more about the contest and its publication, 8142 Review.
