Half Marathon Seeks Volunteers

Do you want to be a part of one of the great races in the Midwest? Sign up to lend a hand at the 10th running of the Door County Half Marathon in Peninsula State Park on May 6.

Organizers are looking for volunteers to help during the week to help set up for the race, and also on race day as Door County welcomes more than 2,700 runners to Peninsula State Park.

“Our volunteers are so important to the runner’s experience,” said Race Director Brian Fitzgerald. “In our post-race surveys, our runners have always praised our volunteers, their attitudes, and how much they contribute to the enjoyment of the event. We couldn’t do it without them.”

Volunteers are needed to help assemble runner packets the week of the race, at packet pickup at the Ephraim Village Hall Friday, on the course, and at the runners’ concourse at Nicolet Bay on race day, May 6.
