Hanne Gault to Read at Next Dickinson Poetry Series

Gault has been writing poetry for many years. It is a kind of meditation for her, where she can lose herself and forget about other things. “I have a similar relationship to music,” she explains. Gault is drawn to the quirky side of things: “I think there are comic and ironic aspects to life. I try to use that, and take it as close to the edge as I can without going over, so as not to offend anyone.”

For Gault, getting published is not a focus. However, she enjoys sharing her poetry and getting feedback from both her poet friends and audience members.

On the second Wednesday of every month, the Dickinson Poetry Series features a reading by a local or regional poet followed by an open mic and reception. The public is welcome, and admission is free. The UUF is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.7559.
