The Door County Art League Gallery is hosting “Hot Summer Daze”, an exhibit of plein air artwork created by DCAL member artists, from July 19 -25. A reception is scheduled for July 19 from 3 – 5 pm. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
According to Gale Ritchey, director of the gallery, “Everywhere you go, you can see those hardy, artistic souls painting the natural wonders of Door County. So we thought we’d showcase some of their newest creations in the gallery. We invite everyone to join in the plein air spirit and stop by to visit with the artists and see their work.”
Featured artists include Barbara Timmerman, Karen Shanahan, Beverly Hart Branson, Madonna Siles, Dorothy McDowell, Lauretta Kelly and Barbara Kenyon plus sixteen other artists who regularly exhibit in the gallery.
The DCAL gallery, located in the rear courtyard of the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek, is open 11 am to 5 pm every day except Wednesday, and from 11 am to 3 pm on Sundays. For more information visit doorcountyartleague.org.
