Hardy Gallery Calls For Artists For 2024 Community Mosaic Project

Ephraim’s Hardy Gallery is calling for local artists to participate in its annual community mosaic project. This year marks the 17th anniversary of the mosaic project, which aims to bring the community together to create a visual tapestry of public art.

The gallery is seeking original artwork in any medium. People of all ages and creative backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Past submissions have included photos, three-dimensional and sculptural work, assemblages, fiber work, paintings, writing and collaborative works. All submissions should be accompanied by a completed artist statement form and should fit neatly on a 6-by-6 canvas with minimal installation difficulty.

The gallery will offer each participating artist one free 6-by-6 canvas, donated by the Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay. Canvases may be picked up now at the Artists Guild, 215 N 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, or at the Hardy Gallery starting May 24.

Canvases are due back to the Hardy Gallery or the Artists Guild by June 23, finished or unfinished. The community mosaic wall will be on view at the Hardy Gallery starting July 12, running in conjunction with Collection Invitational and Collectors Choice Benefit, on display July 12 through Aug. 25.

The Hardy Gallery is located at 3083 Anderson Ln. in Ephraim.
