Harvest Table Supper Supports Ugandan Women

On Oct. 15 from 5 – 7 pm, the Ephraim Moravian Church will hold its Harvest Table Supper and Bead for Life Fundraiser. The dinner will consist of potatoes with toppings of pulled pork, mushrooms, broccoli, cheese and other vegetarian items. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, roasted squash, cider, coffee, water and mbatata (sweet potato) cookies and apple dumplings are for dessert.

Mbatata cookies are Ugandan; the Bead for Life organizations helps Ugandan women become entrepreneurs through their beaded jewelry and other items. The proceeds from the sale of their items and the dinner will be shared by Bead for Life and their Moravian Church in Uganda.
