Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, It’s Off to The Ridges’ Workday We Go!

Mitch Leavitt and Demi Ploor take a break from hauling wood chips. Well, Demi takes a break!

These balmy days encourage us to get our wheelbarrows out and start the annual ritual of spring cleaning. At The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor, spring is a time to get ready for the busy summer season ahead. To help prepare for the summer rush, The Ridges is holding a Work Day on Saturday, May 2. Members and non-members of all ages are invited to help with a variety of indoor and outdoor projects at the sanctuary. Come to help, come to supervise, or come to enjoy the company and ride in a wheelbarrow! There’s lots to do for those with all levels of expertise.

The Work Day will run from 8:30 am – noon. Volunteers can drop in at any time, and spend whatever amount of time they wish.

Staff will serve a special lunch at noon and we will provide wheelbarrow rides on a first-come, first served basis.
