Hello/Goodbye a Valentine’s Day Show at Plum Bottom Pottery

Plum Bottom Pottery will host “Hello/Goodbye a Valentine’s Day Show,” Friday and Saturday, February 3 and 4 from 10 am – 4 pm. Wine and lite hor d’oeuvres will be served.

Guests can say hello to new pots fired in Plum Bottom’s newly constructed gas fired kiln. An excellent selection of one of a kind porcelain mugs, bowls and sensuously shaped bottle forms will be on display.

“I love this show, it’s always a fun weekend with winter games going on in Fish Creek,” says resident artist Chad Luberger. “I invite folks who are in town for the weekend or locals to stop by and see what we do here at Plum Bottom.”

Plum Bottom and Door County will also bid a temporary adieu to resident jewelry artist Angela Lensch as she embarks on a six-week exploration of India. Lensch has been actively searching for ways to make a bigger impact on the world and also explore new techniques for her one of a kind jewelry designs.

“I will be teaching a number of small jewelry workshops which will hopefully cultivate sustainable skills that Indian woman can use to create a better life,” says Lensch.

Lensch will have a show at Plum Bottom this fall to showcase work inspired by her travels. The project is supported in part by a grant from the Peninsula Arts Association and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin.

Plum Bottom Pottery, located 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay and five minutes south of Egg Harbor at 4999 Plum Bottom Road, is open Friday and Saturday throughout the winter from 10 am – 4 pm. For more information visit http://www.PlumBottomPottery.com.
