Historical Society: Enjoy An Afternoon With Pete Lemere

Egg Harbor Historical Society kicks off its 2024 program series Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 2 pm with an interview with Peter LeMere, who was instrumental in developing the historical society and programming. LeMere will have plenty to say about growing up in the village, as he was born in Egg Harbor, attended the school on Harbor School Road and “did the things Egg Harbor lads did – swam in the harbor, sledded Kirtland Hill, picked cherries in the local orchards, played basketball in the Cupola House’s barn, played baseball for the Egg Harbor team, worked a bit for Horseshoe Bay Farms and John Bertschinger’s lumberyard and feed mill, and more.”

The event takes place at Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St.
