Historical Society Hosts Program About Fireside Building

When it opened in January, the Fireside quickly became a staple of Egg Harbor dining, but this month the Egg Harbor Historical Society is celebrating the many watering holes that have called the Fireside’s location home. Whether it was Shack’s bowling alley and saloon, the Welcome Inn, Forest Gardens, Farmer’s Inn, Augie’s, Tracy’s Tap, George’s Anchor Inn, the 3-Cs or Liberty Square, the location has always been a place to gather, share stories and meet friends.

Learn about this venue’s colorful history at the Fireside on Sept. 23, when the evening will start with the society’s annual business meeting at 5 pm, and heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar at 5:30 pm. The cost is $20 per person. Reserve your spot by Sept. 16 by emailing [email protected].
