Holiday Music Motel Featured on Weekly Radio Program

The Holiday Music Motel announces a new radio program that will showcase music written and recorded within their own walls, every Monday, 6 – 6:30 pm, on 102.1FM WRKU. Six different songs will be featured each week from The Holiday and Steel Bridge Songfest collections. Host James Larsen fills in backstories and commentary throughout the program.

Larsen conceived of the program shortly after returning to the area to take a position with DoorCountyDailyNews.com and The Holiday was quick to enter into a partnership with them based on Larsen’s passion and enthusiasm for wanting to showcase these songs to a broader community. Much of Larsen’s inspiration came from the fact that these songs were not only written and recorded in Door County but that many of them were also about various aspects of Door County.

The first two months of the program will feature selections from Steel Bridge Songfest leading up to this year’s festival June 13 – 16.
