House and Garden Walk Canceled

The Door County Medical Center Auxiliary has canceled its July 28 House and Garden Walk.

Maribeth Hetherington, auxiliary president, said, “Although we remained hopefully optimistic we could still have the walk recognizing the 60th anniversary of Commitment to Community, there were too many uncertainties related to the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects. We know this is a great disappointment to all who are involved in planning the event and to those who enjoy attending each year.”

The organizers’ primary concern is for the safety of homeowners, volunteers, attendees and the community, and they did not think it was appropriate to ask for sponsorships from local businesses at this time.
