Ice Out Competitions Opens Up

Door County is almost out of the depths of winter and it’s time to wager a guess for when the ice will officially “go out” of Sister Bay. Voting boxes for the 76th annual Ice Out Competition are in businesses around Sister Bay waiting for votes. To participate, fill out a slip of paper with your name, phone number and a guess for the date and time that the ice will “go out” of the bay. A winner is chosen from each host business and that person will receive the prize donated by that host business.

In 2013, the Ice Out raft started floating at 10:12 am on April 26. When do you think it will float this year?
