Improv Nights at The Depot

Rogue Theater presents “A Night at The Improv” at The Depot Performing Arts Center in Sturgeon Bay. Director Stuart Champeau, director of the original D.C. Comedy Club, will conduct an improvisational comedy clinic for three days prior to the show.

Through scene work and theatre games, this clinic hones the fundamentals of short-form improvisation. Actors of all ages will have to be fast on their feet and sharp on their wit as they prepare for the weekend performances.

Improvisational games and skits will rule the evening for this no-holds-barred comic romp. The evening guarantees lots of laughs, awkward timing and off-balance comic situations. This is a family friendly show. Parents and grandparents are strongly recommended to bring their kids and grandkids for a good time, complete with audience participation.

Champeau is a 25-year veteran of the theater with an extensive improv comedy background, including nine seasons with Paul Sills.

Improv nights are scheduled for Oct. 10-11 at 7:30 pm and Oct.12 at 4 pm. Tickers are $15 adults and $8 for students 18 years old and younger. The Depot is located at 341 N. Third Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. For ticket information call 920.818.0816.
