Is He Dead? On Stage at Peninsula Players

Now on stage at Peninsula Players through August 16 is Mark Twain’s madcap comedy Is He Dead? Adapted by David Ives, the show tells the story of struggling painters scheming to sell their works by faking the death of their mentor, Jean-François Millet. With Millet dead, his sales start to skyrocket and he dons a dress to collect the checks, but will he ever wear pants again? In this photo Millet, aka Daisy, receives lessons on how to be more demure and womanly from his painting students Dutchy and O’Shaughnessy. (Left to right) Players actors Joe Foust as Dutchy, Kevin McKillip as Millet/Daisy and Patrick New as O’Shaughnessy.
