Italian Harvest Dinner at Farm Market Kitchen

Italian food is without a doubt one of America’s favorite ethnic cuisines. Parade Magazine, published May 2015, listed it as one of the top three cuisines America craves (along with Chinese and Mexican). The Farm Market Kitchen (FMK) is taking advantage of the bountiful fall harvest and the fact that a number of FMK processors (with Italian heritage) specialize in Italian food products. This October’s Heritage Dinner series will feature an Italian Harvest Dinner. Reservations are required, as this one often sells out.

The menu is still being finalized, but the Italian dinner will be overflowing with locally-grown produce and features products made by small, local food processors. The Italian Harvest Dinner includes appetizers, salad, soup, entrees, dessert and beverage. Clario Farms, LLC, one of the processors, will be present to meet and greet dinner attendees.

The dinner is scheduled for Oct. 15 at 5:30 pm, with dinner served at 6 pm, at the Gerald J. Haegele Center, 520 Parkway, Algoma. Proceeds help support the nonprofit Farm Market Kitchen programs to educate and foster new food processors and entrepreneurs. For reservations, call 920.487.9750 or [email protected]. A menu will soon be available at FarmMarketKitchen.org.
