Jacksonport Craft Cottage Features Dichroic Glass Jewelry

The Jacksonport Craft Cottage is currently featuring laser etched dichroic glass jewelry hand crafted by Julie Bigger. Bigger creates beautiful pieces of jewelry utilizing her etching machine. The etching machine allows her to etch any graphic design onto the glass before she fuses it. She cuts out the images with a diamond band ring saw, grinds them to shape, then fire polishes each piece for strength, shine and durability.

After the glass is finished, Bigger uses it to create pendants, earrings and bracelets. The Craft Cottage features her popular design “Tree of Life.” The pendants come in a rectangular shape or a circular design in a wide variety of colors. Both styles have matching earrings.

The Jacksonport Craft Cottage, open daily from 9 am – 5 pm, is located at 6275 Highway 57 in downtown Jacksonport.
