Sen. Andre Jacque (R-De Pere) visited The Shoals apartment complex in Sister Bay on Jan. 8 to hear from residents, business owners and community leaders about how the project has impacted the community. The 45-unit affordable housing complex – completed in mid-2023 – was funded in part by tax credits from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, and a bill before the Wisconsin State Senate would increase the State Housing Tax Credit from $42 million to $100 million.
