Jewelry Opulence

Necklace by Michelle Pressler.

Plum Bottom Pottery and Gallery invites everyone to “Opulence – The Jewelry Show” on Oct. 12 from 10 am to 5 pm. New work from all eight of Plum Bottom’s jewelry artists will fill the gallery, making this a fall event not to be missed.

Plum Bottom’s gallery expansion in 2014 has seen the gallery grow its collection of one-of-a-kind jewelry. Well-known Door County artists such as Amanda DeWitt are now joined by jewelry artists from across the country, including New York and Los Angeles.

Just in for the show will be new work from Michelle Pressler’s fall line. Pressler works in miniature gemstones and creates small, jeweled mosaics in her earrings and necklaces. Her newest work includes earrings featuring rough-cut grey and black diamonds.

Greta Cannon’s work in soft glass is easy to wear and a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection. Each piece features handcrafted sterling sliver beads wrapped in Japanese washi paper then sealed in enamel, making these pieces waterproof.

Door County artist Amanda DeWitt continues to create classic jewelry pieces in her signature sterling silver style. Simple but elegant, her pieces are a staple of the Door County wardrobe.

Fresh water pearl work by resident Plum Bottom jewelry artist Angela Olsen-Luberger puts a twist on the standard strand, featuring a variety of colors and textures in this natural medium.

Plum Bottom is open daily May to October, 10 am – 5 pm. To visit, go 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay or five minutes south of Egg Harbor on scenic Highway 42, then east on Plum Bottom Road to 4999 Plum Bottom Rd. For more information visit PlumBottomPottery.com.
