An embattled JJ’s team finally notched a mark in the W column in Wednesday night’s Northern Door Broomball League play. They topped Husby’s 5 -1 to move out of the league cellar.
Cornerstone laid a beat-down on Horseshoe Bay in the early game behind seven goals from Spencer Johnson. It was enough work to move Johnson into third on the league’s scoring list! Brian Tourmo aided the cause with seven assists.
Finally, Wild Tomato kept the Door County Brewing Company winless with a 13-1 walloping, led by Brian Fitzgerald with three goals and seven assists.
