“John Purves” Returning

The historic, 105-year-old tug John Purves has spent the winter getting scheduled repairs at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, plus correction of some pinholes discovered during hull inspection,  according to the Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society. Sam Perlman, the Maritime Museum’s deputy director and development manager, said the tug was expected to return to its spot at the museum on April 15. Tours of the boat are offered May – October.
