Join DCA’s Let’s Play! Drum Competition

Last week, Door Community Auditorium (DCA) and Jahmés Tony Finlayson – a Milwaukee-based percussionist, workshop facilitator and Reiki practitioner – hosted a Circle of Drums residency.  Finlayson presented a concert and several educational segments, which will soon be available to the public.

One of these activities is a video session about how to make a drum from household items. After watching the video, the community is invited to participate in DCA’s Let’s Play! Drum Competition. 

Cash prizes of $20.20 will go to Most Creative Percussion Instrument, Most Passionate Performance, Best Costume(s) and Best Group Effort. The grand prize of $202 will go to the People’s Choice honoree. The first 200 video participants are eligible to receive a free, customized DCA egg shaker.
