Join the Door’s Dirty 5K

Door County Adventure Center will host the Door’s Dirty 5K at the Team Leadership Center on May 23. The mud run has obstacles that are unique to this specific event because of the incorporation of the high and low ropes course and the team critical thinking challenges involved in the race. This 5K is guaranteed to be challenging, but not impossible. Since this is a fundraiser, a challenge-by-choice philosophy is in place for all participants.

Door’s Dirty 5K is HELP of Door County Inc.’s newest and largest annual fundraiser that keeps their services available for Door County families needing support battling domestic violence. HELP’s domestic violence advocates are available for victims, their friends, family, coworkers or anyone calling on their behalf to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals.

In addition to raising funds with the registration fees, Door County Adventure Center will offer Adventure Zip Line Tours at the site of the run for $10 a person during the event. This is a great way for spectators to help support the cause without having to participate in the 5K.

This event is open to participants above the age of 13. Children between the ages of 13-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals, families and teams are encouraged to register online at doorcountysdirty5k.com. To become a sponsor or a volunteer, email [email protected] or visit doorcountysdirty5k.com.
