Juddville Clay Studio Home to Contemporary Ceramics

As visitors enter Juddville Contemporary Clay Studio Gallery a look of surprise comes over their faces. Wonderfully bright filtered light, from the large, rolled antique glass windows, of the former Juddville School, bounces off the surfaces of contemporary ceramic artwork created by artists Tony Staroska and Rebecca Carlton.

From the early 1880s through 1957, hundreds of local children received their early education in the building, which had been the Juddville School. Next, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church delivered countless sermons to its worshipers in the space. It also housed several previous art galleries. Juddville Contemporary Clay has now called the schoolhouse home for the past 13 years.

“If you have built or purchased your dream home in Door County, you can further decorate it with artwork that will enhance your home and reflect your individual style. We have sculpture, ceramics and custom tile,” said Staroska.

Juddville Contemporary Clay Studio Gallery is located at 8496 Highway 42 in Juddville. It is open 10 am – 5 pm daily. For more information call 920.868.2021. Visit them on Facebook or Instagram.
