Julie Davis Leaves Boys & Girls Club

Julie Davis, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Door County, will begin a new position as the workforce-development director for the Milwaukee-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) on May 30.

She has been with the organization for eight years – as program director and then, in 2013, as executive director. She oversaw enormous growth in the number of youth served through its programs and was named the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Executive Director of the Year, Midwest Region, in 2015. “Now is the time for me to step back,” Davis said, “and let the next leader, with the board’s direction, maintain the organization as it continues to enrich the lives of our communities’ precious youth. I look forward to the challenge AEM has offered me to have an opportunity to impact at the national level through their nonprofit membership organization – carrying on my commitment to the principles of servant-leadership.”
