kindgoods Sets Records

kindgoods’ Be the Change initiative – in which the Sister Bay store selects a different charitable cause or nonprofit organization each month to support by donating a portion of its proceeds – has grown this year, with two record-setting months in a row. 

Since May, kindgoods has donated more than $700 to organizations such as Every Mother Counts, the Northern Door Children’s Center and the American Civil Liberties Union. During August, the store will donate $1 from each friendship bracelet sale to Best Buddies.  

For more than 30 years, Best Buddies has worked to create opportunities for individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities by building one-to-one peer friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living.
