Labor Day Cooking

Looking for something unique to do for the Labor Day weekend? Bring your friends and join one of the Labor Day weekend classes at the Savory Spoon Cooking School.

On Aug. 30 at 9:30 am, “From Garden to Grill” with Amy Rebhan will be available. Learn how to grill six summer favorites. Experience how wonderful it is when fresh, raw vegetables meet the sear and sizzle of the grill. Learn to grill everything from flatbread and mushrooms to keep your meals delicious and exciting too. Cost for the class is $60. Meg Goettelman from Steep Creek Farm will be on hand with her garden abundance.

Also on Aug. 30 at 6 pm, “Summer’s Bounty” will be available. Straight from the garden, this field-to-fork class will give you confidence to make infused oil, flavorful croutons and marinates for meats and vegetables. Cost for the class is $65.
