Lake Superior Writers Contest Accepting Entries

Lake Superior Writers is seeking short stories about Lake Superior for its 2016 contest. Stories should be set in and around the lake and they can describe its people, its history, folklore, environment, wildlife, businesses, communities, culture, or whatever moves writers about this place. Lake Superior should be the main setting for the stories, but other locations can be included.

Authors can submit up to two short stories (6,500 words max each). Winners will be published in an anthology. The deadline is April 1, 2016. Entry is free for Lake Superior Writers members, $15-$35 for nonmembers. For guidelines and submission information, visit http://lakesuperiorwriters.org/going-coastal-2016-fiction-writing-contest/.

Lake Superior Writers is a nonprofit organization that supports the artistic development of writers and fosters a vibrant literary arts community in northeastern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin.
